Travelopia and Inspiretec launch the new look Citalia website.

New Sitecore website goes live to help travellers to explore the very best of Italy for when our desire for experiential travel can be satisfied once again!

12th May 2020. Cardiff. Travelopia have partnered with Inspiretec’s agency team to design, build and launch the new Citalia website.

 Travelopia’s award winning Citalia brand has been helping their customers discover Italy for 85 years. Their experience and expertise, together with their attention to detail and personal touch, makes them the leading Italian holiday specialist and they pride themselves on the in-depth knowledge of their team, who bring Italy to life with their expertise and passion. 

 

Citalia is the second site delivered by Inspiretec for Travelopia using the Sitecore Experience Platform. Having previously designed, built and released a website for Travelopia’s luxury specialist brand Sovereign, Inspiretec were challenged to reuse and build upon this existing platform to create a further unique search, cost & book experience that reflected Citalia’s unique brand, content and customer experience.

As with the Sovereign website, Citalia needed to leverage core Sitecore features to deliver a seamless and sophisticated holiday research and booking platform. The integral search, cost and book journey on the site is delivered through integration with Inspiretec’s booking and reservation platform Travelink. Getting this integration right was key to the overall experience of the site with a strong focus on boosting the conversion performance of the search, cost & book journey.

Due to Citalia being a high-end brand, we needed to create the right balance of delivering a functional yet experiential website. It was important that the site reflected Citalia’s high-value offering, whilst catering to the multiple shopping styles of their users. For example, some users who are inspired by the site may prefer to call Citalia’s expert team to book, whilst others would rather complete the entire holiday booking experience online. Inspiretec covered all bases with every possible user and their needs in mind.

 Throughout the project Inspiretec worked closely with the Travelopia team using a joint agile delivery process based around iterative releases of code, allowing for early feedback and a way of effectively accommodating the inevitable changes – especially important in these challenging times.

 

As the content curated by the Citalia team is such an integral element of the brand proposition it was critical that it was fine-tuned before go live, so we established a delivery plan that would allow the Citalia content team to prioritise the content loading process as early as possible.
